One of my favorite authors is John Green. I also subscribe to a YouTube channel he has with his brother. It is called the Vlogbrothers channel and is very, very funny and entertaining. John Green recently wrote what he calls his “very, very bad zombie apocalypse novella” under a Creative Commons license. I think this demonstrates the usefulness of these licenses. He is a published author who has won several awards for young adult literature; However, he also a large following on YouTube. By offering the novella with a Creative Commons license he is able to offer a bonus to his fans as well as promote his other writings.
One of the most wonderful and most dangerous things about the internet is haw quickly and easily information is shared. It can be very difficult for the average user to determine what is and isn’t okay to share. This offers a way for the average user to share information they do not profit from legally. The internet is evolving quickly and therefore our laws need to as well. I think Creative Commons licenses are a great idea.

I have never heard of the Vlog Brothers but it sound interesting. I agree with you that it is important for the law to be able to keep up with all the cyber technology available.
